Acting as a convener and facilitator, First Alaskans Institute convened the 2003 Spirit Camp Gathering on June 6-7, 2003, bringing together a group of spirit camp directors and staff members, educators, philanthropists, program operators, and Elders to share operational information and traditional teaching methods that focus on cultural preservation, healthy communities and academic success.
