2003 Native Perspectives on Alaska Issues
The Alaska Native Policy Center at First Alaskans Institute partnered with the Alaska Humanities Forum to sponsor a “Survey of Native Perspectives on Alaska Issues.” The random phone survey was conducted by the McDowell Group. It provides a snapshot of Native perspectives on topics such as mobility, quality of life, statewide and community issues, education, gender issues, the economy, leadership, environment, and subsistence.
Five hundred Alaska Native households were contacted for the survey. Selection of the households was based on statewide representation of the 2000 U.S. Census geographic distribution of Alaska Native households.”
